Cosima Scales

Cosima Scales is a Brisbane based artist interested in observational painting and gestural mark making. She produces intimate works through close contemplation of places, people and things, primarily working from life. In 2018, she completed a Master of Visual Art by research at theQueensland College of Art with the support of a postgraduate research scholarship. She was a finalist in the 2020 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship, has held solo exhibitions in Inverell, Brisbane and Melbourne, and is a previous studio resident of Outer Space ARI in Brisbane.
