Jan Finlayson

Adelaide based artist, Jan Finlayson, has been drawing, painting and printmaking for decades. She attended Adelaide Central School of Art and has continued honing her skills through personal exploration and interaction with other creatives.

Her art making is grounded in drawing; she responds emotionally and intellectually to the world around her. These paintings can be seen as both portraits of domesticity and landscapes of lives lived – a mix of domestic familiarity and the suggestion of shared events and emotions evoked.
