Jeremy Vander Noord

Transitions, time, duality, gateways, passages, frames, and endings…

Big pictures and small details are the operandi of Jeremy Vander Noord. After many years living in NYC Jeremy has returned to country Victoria with a deep reflection on his multidisciplinary art practice that has involved printmaking, leatherwork and textiles, jewellry, painting, photography and sculpture.

His recent works look to volcanoes to imbue morality, nature and creation.

Archetypal forms are baked in rustic and oftentimes ritualistic procession. From the ashes, Vander Noord’s appreciators see fossilised Theban masks elementary in their detail.

The Brickworks Gallery is taken by the sublime forms crafted by of Jeremy Vander Noord, as many are in keeping with the traditional pottery practice of the 70’s on our grounds.
